Neville Brody was as entertaining and outspoken as ever, as we watched him converse with Adrian Shaughnessy at the D&AD Presidents Lecture. He made a few interesting points – the one that sticks in the mind, is that Haircut 100 are the sole reason for the decline of popular culture as we know it!
… and just in-case you didn’t know, he supports Tottenham Hotspur!
Genius!

We had the pleasure of working with Alan Kitching at the Typography Workshop to produce the Hudson Fuggle calendar, some of you might recall it. Alan has an exhibition celebrating 20 years of his latest letterpress work at Advanced Graphics London which is only a five minute walk away – perfectly placed, to fill a lunch hour with.

I stumbled across a microcar show on the weekend, you don’t see one of these fine automobiles everyday. (But now you can!). There was a selection of microcars on show, the Messerschmitt KR200 designed by Fritz Fend was a personal favourite.

In Pittsburgh, I visited at the Andy Warhol Museum where Shepard Fairey had an exhibition. It was worth the cost of the flight alone! Unfortunately no photos were allowed inside, so you will have to make do with a mural Shepard created outside.
